A MULTICULTURAL LEARNING COMMUNITY
BBDCP is quite proud of
its multicultural learning community of Faculty and as well as
students, which hail from different states from India.
As students from many different cultural backgrounds and academic
disciplines who are pursuing different career goals have come together
and engage in discussions and activities that will enable them to
understand that in whatever discipline they are studying ethnicity,
race, gender, class, sexual orientation, and the effects of power are
influential.
The hope of these
opportunities will allow all students to engage in critical
conversations around these issues as they relates to their personal
lives.
The aim of the MLC is to establish a caring community that facilitates
students’ residential and academic lives. In order to make this idea a
reality, we organize a variety of academic and non-academic programs
throughout the year that helps the students to become
acquainted, and to enable them to interact with people who have both a
personal and a professional interest in diversity.
